In Baltimore, while rector of Old St Paul’s, he served as dean of examining chaplains and on the Commission on Ministry. At Christ Church, New Haven, he established an Episcopal Service Corps program and was a regular preacher and celebrant at Berkeley. He served as founding provincial convener of the Society of Catholic Priests and in multiple positions with the Society for the Increase of the Ministry. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Alabama and his M.Div. is from Seabury-Western. He received his D.Min. from the School of Theology in 2017; his thesis explored the formation of monastic orders in the Episcopal Church during the 19th century and the formation of the Episcopal Service Corps in late 20th and early 21 century.
