Jon Evans Receives Blended Learning Grant from the ACS
The ACS Blended Learning Program has funded five proposals, each for $10,000, that were submitted from collaborating ACS institutions to advance phase one of a broad initiative to promote “Sustainability in the South and Beyond”.
Evans, Scheffers and Hess publish study on the demise of redbay on St Catherine's Island
Professor Jon Evans and two of his former EcoBio students, Brett Scheffers '05 and Matt Hess '06 have recently published a 6 year study in the journal Biological Invasions documenting the loss of redbay on St. Catherines Island, GA due to an invasive fungal pathogen.

Student Green Fee Gains Visibility
The Student Green Fee, a part of every students' tuition, was formed in 2005 to give students the ability to direct funds to meaningful causes. Historically, it was directed to TVA's Green Power Switch program, but now, it's going to a Sewanee initiative in Haiti.
