We had a celebration to kick-off our "Sustain Sewanee" campaign, launch the new site, and celebrate all the hard work put into drafting and passing the Sustainability Master Plan. Check out some photos here!
The Office of Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability recently launched its brand-new website - sustain.sewanee.edu. Using a story-telling format, the site offers readers the opportunity to survey Sewanee's commitment to sustainability. An in-built matrix of Place, Topic, and Audience allows users to limit articles to their interests while a side-bar displays the connection between each article and Sewanee's Sustainability Master Plan. Thus, users can easily see how their personal interests directly tie into the goals of the University.
In celebration of the unveiling, the OESS staff had a little get-together in Harris Commons. An assortment of homemade goods and a variety of teas rounded out the afternoon spent talking with students and staff about Sewanee's future in sustainability. Customized fortune cookies, coozies, bags, and stickers were also given away, some of which are still available in Spencer 176. With the Sustainability Master Plan accepted and a new website launched, an exciting time for sustainability and the OESS is under way.
