Island Ecology launches its 32nd year

Sewanee's Island Ecology Program is celebrating its 32nd year on St. Catherines Island, Georgia, with 10 students who are investigating the island's geology, hydrology, plants, and soils, as well as the invertebrate and vertebrate populations on land and in the ocean. The students are pictured with Professors Bran Potter and Eric Keen, and they are sitting on the new "Mullet Mobile," which has replaced the "Pope Mobile" from the era of Dr. Timothy Keith-Lucas. It is a 15-seat van with its top removed for easier viewing while traversing the island each day.
