Attend a Senior Workshop during the first days of classes to get yourself ready for the year. Recognize that many fellowship deadlines are early first semester, that some industries begin interviewing right away and that you need to focus on grad school early this fall if you plan to attend next fall. Visit our office to sort through your options and timetable.
Have us check your resume, research industries and individual companies, network with alumni and others to gain insight, get a suit and proper shoes, and hone your interview skills through a practice interview. Our staff can advise you on all of these aspects.
Sewanee students have a strong record of securing a variety of fellowships. Discover which ones might be right for you.
If you don't have a suit, the time has arrived. If you do have a suit, there's no harm in having two. Many interview processes span multiple days. The proper shoes also make a world of difference. If you have any questions, please ask.
Career & Leadership Development staff members can advise you on job search strategies, proper business etiquette and networking tips.
See our grad school information and meet with your academic or pre-professional advisor for information on specific programs. In September, be sure to attend the graduate and professional school fair and the events we host with the author Don Asher. Check the calendar for specific dates.
Held in January just prior to the start of classes, this weekend allows 100 juniors and seniors the chance to explore a variety of careers and graduate programs, to gain skills for life beyond college and to meet with 40 alumni and parent volunteers who stand ready to help. Registration occurs during first semester.
