Walter Davis was on campus this week at the Graham Executive in Residence sponsored by the Babson Center for Global Commerce. Davis serves as a Morgan Stanley managing director and is the business head of the firm’s Managed Futures Department. In his public address yesterday, he ended with addressing what students really want to know: "How do I get a job?" He offered these final words of advice:
- Differentiate yourself by demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
- Network. Leverage every contact you have.
- Luck will play a huge part, but preparation is key.
- Be extremely persistent.
- Successful people are willing to do things that other people aren't willing to do.
