Theatre/Sewanee

‌‌Theatre/Sewanee is the production arm of the Department of Theatre and Dance. Each year three or more major productions and numerous studio productions are mounted in either the Proctor Hill Theatre or the Studio Theatre. Any student, faculty, staff, or community member may audition or serve on the design and technical crew for Theatre/Sewanee productions.

Recent productions at the Tennessee Williams Center have included:

Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and King Lear; the musicals The Threepenny OperaCabaretGuys and DollsOnce Upon a Mattress, and Quilters;  Pirandello's Henry IV; Aristophanes' Lysistrata; Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest; G. B. Shaw's Village Wooing;  Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan,  Moises Kaufman's The Laramie Project, and Jean Anouihl's Antigone.‌
