Sewanee Ensemble Performs on Live Radio Broadcast

Sewanee ensemble, Folk Music Collective to perform on live radio broadcast

The Folk Music Collective, under the direction of Dr. James Carlson, visiting assistant professor of music, will be featured on Afternoon Music, WUTC, Chattanooga, Thursday, Nov. 17, between 4 and 4 p.m. Dr. Richard Winham hosts the show, curating a random mix of rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, jazz, and electronic music every weekday from 2-4 p.m. Winham has taught popular music courses at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and his playlists explore the way disparate artists build upon each others' work. From the Beatles and Belle & Sebastian to Richard Thompson, Radiohead, and The Who, you'll hear a mix of music.

Carlson, with his wife, Lucie, perform as a professional duo Cricket and Snail, performing eclectic originals, French cabaret, classical, Celtic, and klezmer tunes. They will also perform on the broadcast which may be streamed live at
