2015 Hooke Prize for Achievement in Calculus

2015 recipient of the Hooke Prize in Calculus

The Math Department is proud to announce the recipients of this year's annual Robert Hooke Prize for Achievement in Calculus. At the Founder's Day Convocation service held on October 16, 2015, Elizabeth Tilly of Kiambu, Kenya and Davis Easley of Dickson, TN, both members of the class of 2018, were given this prize due to exhibiting special achievement after completion of the calculus sequence. The prize is named for the statistician and former Sewanee professor of mathematics Robert Hooke, who wrote the popular book, How to Tell the Liars from the Statisticians.
