Students inducted into German Honor Society

On Sunday, March 1, 2015 The Sewanee chapter of Delta Phi Alpha held its annual initiation into Delta Phi Alpha, the German National Honor Society in the German House. Dr. James C. Davidheiser, national president of DPA initiated the following persons into the Society: from left to right in the back row – Willem Peglau C’15, Christopher Alex Evans C’16, Dr. Kelly Whitmer, Asst. Prof, of History and Jane Hannon, C’15.  Next to them is David Pride, student president of DPA. Front row left to right are Dr. Richard Apgar, Dr. Reinhard Zachau, Dr. James C. Davidheiser, all members of Sewanee’s German Dept. and Alex Long, student secretary-treasurer of DPA. Membership in the honor society is open to all students in advanced German classes with high grades in German and overall.
