Former Student now a Peer

Dr. Gregory H. Wolf, Class of 1989, met with his two Sewanee German professors, Dr. Jim Davidheiser and Dr. Reinhard Zachau, at the national conference of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages in Philadelphia, PA, in November 2012. Upon graduation from Sewanee, Dr. Wolf earned a Ph.D. in German Studies at The Ohio State University. In 2012 he was named the Dennis and Jean Bauman Endowed Chair of the Humanities. Wolf is professor of German at North Central College, a comprehensive liberal arts college located in Naperville, IL, thirty miles west of Chicago.

Prof. Davidheiser co-founded the Small Undergraduate German Program, a professional group which meets at the annual convention of ACTFL. He is pictured here with Beverly Moser, vice chair, Gregory Wolf, chair of the group.
