On February 25, Classics major Samantha Meyer gave a paper entitled “The Similes of Jason in the Argonautika of Apollonius of Rhodes” at the University of Tennessee 6th Annual Undergraduate Classics Research Conference, held in Knoxville.
This is one of the most prestigious conferences showcasing undergraduate research in Classics, with students coming from across North America, including Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, North & South Carolina, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, and Ontario, to present papers.
There was a keynote address by Kirk Ormand of Oberlin College. Dr. McCarter was on hand to witness Sammie’s very successful presentation.
Congratulations, Sammie! We are very proud of you!
