For example, the Babson Center offers Sewanee students interested in business the chance to enroll in financial modeling workshops taught by Wall Street professionals, skills training in other business software (including training on how to utilize the 12 Bloomberg terminals on campus), interview training, and a wealth of support to start a rewarding career.
The Babson Center also offers support for The Sewanee Investment Club, which allows students to actively manage $500,000 of the University's endowment, while members of the the Angel Fund have the opportunity to hear pitches from regional start-ups, do due diligence, then invest alumni-donated money in the companies they select. For students more interested in launching their own start-up, the Entrepreneurial Challenge allows them to work with alumni mentors to develop and pitch a business plan for the chance to win cash prizes.
