Debra and David Humphreys

David Humphreys, C'79, is the president and chief executive officer of TAMKO Building Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing products, waterproofing, decking, and cements and coatings. The firm, based in Joplin, MO, was founded in 1944 and has remained a family business since its inception. He and his wife, Debra, live in Joplin.

Before joining TAMKO, Humphreys earned his law degree from the University of Miami in 1983 and worked as a corporate tax attorney in New York and Missouri.

Humphreys is the immediate past chair of the Board of Regents of The University of The South. The Humphreys’ daughter, Jane, is a 2009 Sewanee graduate. Humphreys is also a member of the board of directors of The Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty.

Debra Humphreys serves as chair of the board of trustees for the Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School in Joplin.
