Visiting Instructor of Biology and Assistant Director of Advising of the Office of Medical and Health Programs

Cynthia Gray returns to her alma mater to serve as Assistant Director of the Office of Medical and Health Programs. Her focus will be advising students interested in physician assistant programs, pharmacy, nursing, and physical therapy. She will also teach a course in nutrition.
Cynthia earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of the South and a master’s degree in biology from Middle Tennessee State University. Her research at MTSU focused on the lipid composition of marine dinoflagellates. She is passionate about science education and is excited to be teaching nutrition. Her teaching approach focuses on active learning, and she is constantly seeking out new ways to engage students.
When not in Spencer, you can find Cynthia hiking on the Domain, training for her next backpacking adventure.
